She began practicing acupuncture in 1997 and in 2010 took a Diploma in Tui Na (pronounced twee nah ) massage. A previous degree in Microbiology, Physiology and Biochemistry provided a useful science background. She has undertaken further specialist training in Gynaecology and Fertility and in the treatment of musculo-skeletal conditions. Her skills are kept up to date with regular internships, advanced courses, workshops and an interest in the latest research.

Philippa has worked in a variety of private and NHS settings - GP surgeries, natural health clinics, sports clubs and the Gateway, an award-winning specialist NHS acupuncture clinic.

Her interest in acupuncture began with her love of India and respect for the holistic approach to health and wellbeing found in the East, combined with a sense of curiosity. Having treatment herself and experiencing the benefits reinforced her commitment and respect for this wonderful gentle medicine.

Fertility and Gynaecology Training

Her original training in Acupuncture for Gynaecology and Fertility was with Jani White, including Polycystic Ovary Syndrome and Endometriosis. Philippa keeps abreast of the latest developments through lectures, workshops and on-going education programmes run by leading acupuncture fertility specialists and consultant gynaecologists.
