Marta graduated in the prestigious ICOM in Milan, after 5 years of study and 1300 hours in the college clinic, achieving the Italian qualification of D.O. She then studied at Nescot University in Surrey, where she achieved the M.Sc. in Osteopathy.
She worked in Italy for a few months and moved in the UK in 2017, working as a Qualified Massage Therapist till she finally joined the UK General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) in October 2017.
Marta is keen in practicing Osteopathy with a holistic approach, stimulating the healing mechanism of your own body, alleviating the symptoms and removing the underlying cause of stress. In order to tailor the best treatment for each patient she draws from the wide variety of techniques in her hands, incorporating the Cranio-Sacral, the Visceral and Functional approach to the Structural one.
Marta has always been eager to deepen her knowledges, especially in the Obstetric and Paediatric areas, already analysed during her internship and working experience.
Her curiosity led her to already attend several postgraduate courses, as well as several lectures, specifically on the “Female pelvis and analysis of pelvic pain in women”, the “Anatomy and physiology of the gastro-intestinal tract and of the autonomic nervous system”, and the “International Conference of Osteopathic Medicine in the Paediatric area”.
